Mr Will Eardley is an academic Consultant Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon with specialist expertise in complex fracture surgery and the management of post-traumatic complications, including fracture fixation failure, non-union, deformity correction and bone infection.

He trained in surgery throughout Northern England before completing a specialist trauma fellowship and being appointed as a Consultant at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in 2014. Prior to his NHS consultant career, he served for nineteen years in the British Army, leaving with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel following operational deployments to Kosovo, Iraq, Afghanistan and Sierra Leone.

Mr Eardley has an established academic and research profile, with numerous peer-reviewed publications, book chapters and invited contributions in orthopaedic trauma. He was awarded a Doctor of Medicine following research undertaken at the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory and is an Honorary Associate of Teesside University.

His clinical practice encompasses the management of both acute and complex post-traumatic conditions, including fracture fixation failure, non-union, deformity correction, bone infection and orthoplastic injury. He also has expertise in sports injury and rehabilitation, supported by postgraduate qualifications in Sports Medicine.

This combination of clinical practice, academic leadership and research experience provides a robust foundation for independent medicolegal opinion in complex orthopaedic cases.
